Welcome to the Advent Book Study of The Three Wise Women

I look forward to learning more about these wise women of our Christian history and sharing with each other how we are being moved by their lives as we wait with anticipation of our Lord and Saviors birth. Happy day 2 of Advent but first I will comment on yesterday’s theme: hope! In looking for ways to be alert and prepare, I think about Hope. My personal hopes keep me optimistic, so when I pray about Advent and Hope….God speaks to my heart with one word: “journal”! So that is what I plan to do!

Now to Day 2
Waiting….No doubt about it; waiting is hard. I reflect on the joy-filled-anticipation in my children as they waited for Christmas every year and it warms my heart. There are many things I am waiting for. What I have learned is that waiting helps me “stop and smell the roses” while I’m waiting. Like Mary in today’s passage, when I suddenly look up and realize the beauty and wonder of my new granddaughter, Oaklynn, and know that she is God’s gift to our family, I KNOW I can wait because God’s Will is so worth it!
